SOM Featured in 2026 Regenerative Architecture Index

With the first phase completed in 2021, the Wild Mile has already made a dramatic impact on the people, wildlife, and plant habitats along the River.

The 2026 Regenerative Architecture Index (RAI) has recognized SOM among 119 organizations demonstrating a commitment to regenerative design, delivery, and practice. The index evaluated participants based on three core themes: being a good ancestor, co-evolving with nature, and creating a just space for people.

Created by UK Architects Declare and Architecture Today, RAI features UK-based practices and built environment organizations exploring new ways to create long-term value for communities, ecosystems, and future generations.

This year, a month-long exhibition and events programme in October will also mark the RAI’s first physical home at the Building Centre in London, showcasing case studies from the featured practices included in the Index.
