A major milestone was reached at Seattle-Tacoma (Sea-Tac) Airport’s new International Arrivals Facility in January. The long-awaited center span of a massive aerial walkway was moved down the airport’s center runway and lifted into place, setting the record for the longest structure over an active taxi lane in the world, coming in at 780 feet long.

The new International Arrivals Facility (IAF) at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is highlighted in the July issue of Architectural Record magazine. Designed by SOM in collaboration with Miller Hull, the IAF is one of six major aviation projects that will soon be ready at airports around the globe.
