In November of 2019, Associate Director Rupa Garai presented during the Indian Association of Structural Engineering's (IAStructE) International Seminar in New Delhi. The conference addressed how performance based design can create more resilient structures.
On September 19th, 2019 the American Institute of Steel Construction held the IDEAS2 Awards ceremony at the Superior Court of California in San Diego. Earlier in 2019, the project was honored with AISC's 2019 National Award.
Three chapters of the Structural Engineers Association—in Illinois (SEAOI), New York (SEAoNY) and Northern California (SEAONC)—presented SOM with awards that recognize outstanding achievement and innovation in structural engineering.
