We are pleased to share our annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) report. This is the third published survey of initiatives and projects to achieve the goals defined in our 2020 DEI Action Plan. Through this report, we continue our commitment to maintaining an open dialogue about equity at SOM, in our industry, and in the built environment that we shape through our work.
Over the past year, our staff and leadership have continued to build greater equity in our work and our culture. Our Employee Resource Groups have expanded their programming and our focus on equity continues to be more deeply embedded in the firm’s management structure and governance. While this work is ongoing, we are already seeing many positive outcomes.
While we have created this report for the SOM community, we are again making it available to the public in the hopes of inspiring greater transparency and clear reporting across our industry. By sharing resources, best practices, and data, we can all work together to create a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable industry.
