SOM Sustainability Director Mina Hasman has been included in TIME100 Climate, TIME’s inaugural list of 100 of the world’s most influential leaders driving climate action in business.

Honored among leaders from multiple industries, Mina is recognized for her role in developing innovative climate action measures for the built environment. At SOM, Mina leads the firm’s daily operations and long-term vision for sustainability and wellbeing. As the co-leader of SOM’s Climate Action Group, she also oversees progress toward decarbonization in SOM’s global business operations and projects.

Mina is part of the interdisciplinary team driving Urban Sequoia, a regenerative design concept for buildings and cities that was first presented at COP26. More recently, Mina also helped develop Whole Life Carbon Accounting, a new service to accelerate low-carbon building design and development.

To assemble the list, TIME’s editors and reporters fielded nominations and recommendations from industry leaders and partner organizations like Global Optimism and The B Team, as well as TIMECO2’s Advisory Council, then worked to assess the candidates on a variety of factors, including recency of action, measurable results, and influence.

The full list is live on time.com and will appear in the December 5, 2023 print issue, available on newsstands from November 24
