Senior Associate Principal and Sustainable Practice Director Mina Hasman has been elected to serve on The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Council for a 3-year term.

As a widely recognized industry expert, Mina currently leads SOM’s sustainability practice and is co-leader of the firm’s Climate Action Group. In her role, she challenges existing best practices by developing new systematic and design-based approaches applied and tested in complex, international projects. Mina has experience in a wide variety of projects in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, bringing a greater understanding of the implications for sustainable design in different climatic, social and regulatory contexts.

We are incredibly proud of Mina’s accomplishment and look forward to how RIBA will continue to serve to deliver better buildings and places, stronger communities, and a sustainable environment.
