Yesterday, during a ceremony in London held as part of the Saudi Luxury Real Estate Show, SOM and Al Majdiah formalized their collaboration on a new residential-led, mixed-use tower in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Senior leaders from Al Majdiah attended the ceremony, including CEO Abdulsalam Al Majed, Deputy CEO Mohammed Al Subaih, and Design Director Mohamed Taha, alongside SOM Managing Partner Thomas Behr and Associate Principal Paul Blackmore.

Envisioned as a community-focused, transport-oriented development (TOD) aligned with the ambitions of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the project on King Salman Road will span approximately 106,000 square meters and offer a vibrant new destination for living, working, and social interaction.

The project builds on SOM’s longstanding legacy in Saudi Arabia, including the National Commercial Bank headquarters and the reimagining and expansion of the Hajj Terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah. In Riyadh, SOM’s portfolio continues to grow, with ongoing work including The Avenues, Retal Heights, and more projects across the city.
