Apply for SOM’s Global Shadowship Week

Sponsored by SOM’s Arquitectos, Asian Alliance, NOMA, Pride, and Women’s Initiative groups, this week-long program offers an immersive professional experience, mentorship, and guidance to students of all backgrounds. The program is open to applicants who are planning careers in architecture, engineering, urban planning, graphic design, or interior design, and who share a passion for advancing equity, diversity and inclusion in the AEC industry.

As an undergraduate or graduate student in architecture, engineering, or a related design field, you will have the opportunity to gain a well-rounded perspective on SOM and the day-to-day experience in our studios. Through a series of lectures and events, representatives from multiple cities, departments, and disciplines will share their work and perspectives.

This program will take place January 10-14, 2022, and be held in-person in several of our studios. Please note that the program in our Washington D.C. studio will take place remotely. Applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, December 5. Please attach your resume and work sample as individual PDF files. Your sample can be no longer than five pages and should express your experience and interest in your field.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation and lodging as needed. A small stipend will be provided to each participant at the end of the program.
