On Wednesday, October 3rd, SOM Design Partner Scott Duncan will present the proposed design for 400 Lake Shore Drive in Chicago as a part of The Big Draw, a month-long festival of drawing hosted at Apple flagship stores around the world. During the session, taking place at Apple Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago, Duncan will present SOM’s vision for the project and will sketch elements of the building with participants. The session will explore the project’s role as a gateway to Chicago, with an emphasis on how it connects with the Chicago River, the skyline, and the public realm.
Duncan’s session is the first of five events SOM is leading at Apple Michigan Avenue as a part of The Big Draw throughout October 2018. The Big Draw is a charity dedicated to promoting visual literacy worldwide. The festival is the world’s biggest drawing event.
