Join SOM at the inaugural Passenger Terminal Expo Asia (PTE Asia) in Singapore on September 23 and 24 to discover how our latest aviation projects are shaping the next generation of airports across Asia and beyond.
On September 23, SOM Design Principal and Airports Practice Leader Kashyap Bhimjiani will present the firm’s competition-winning design for Gia Binh International Airport in Bắc Ninh Province, Vietnam—one of the region’s most ambitious new aviation developments and a strategic new northern gateway serving Hanoi and the surrounding capital region. Selected earlier this year through an international competition, SOM’s concept, “Terminal of Water Gardens,” takes inspiration from Vietnamese landscapes and has been recognized for its technical rigor, cultural resonance, and advanced sustainability strategy.
From the vision and design to the infrastructure required to bring a major new airport to life, Kashyap will share the strategies driving the project—an ICAO Code 4F terminal envisioned as a civic landmark rooted in Vietnamese culture, incorporating sustainable materials, local artistry, and a digitally native passenger experience.
