Randy Guillot

FAIA, LEED AP

Director of Healthcare Design

Chicago

Randy Guillot approaches healthcare design with the conviction that places for care should be  dignified, and uplifting for everyone they serve. As SOM’s Director of Healthcare Design, he brings more than 30 years of experience across health, science, education, and workplace projects, with complex programs that require a careful balance of technical expertise and consensus building.

Working closely with clients, communities, and multidisciplinary teams, Randy shapes environments that support healing, learning, discovery, and collaboration. His designs foster interaction between patients, providers, and their institutions, helping to make their relationships more visible and meaningful.

The most powerful places are those that make our commitment to one another legible—places that support care, discovery, learning, and work while elevating the human experience.

A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and a member of the Urban Land Institute’s National Health and Life Sciences Council, Randy’s work has been recognized with more than 50 design awards. He previously served on the AIA National Committee on Design, and regularly participates in academia as a university critic, lecturer, mentor, and supporter of in-residence studio programs.
