Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have all been witness to a dramatic increase in violent racist crimes targeting Asian people across the United States, directly affecting many of us, our families, our friends, and our communities. At SOM, we believe in the value of an inclusive culture, and we unequivocally condemn racism and discrimination in any form. We are united with the Asian and Asian-American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities in our pursuit of building a more just and equitable world.
It is imperative that we continue to strive to be better stewards of our society and seek to reshape our world through our actions—none of us is safe until all of us are safe. Recent attacks have strengthened our resolve to fight for equity and opportunity for all, confront racial bias, advance our professions, and better represent the diversity of our communities.
