Preferred Bidder Selected for Criminal Justice Complex

Plans to build a new Criminal Justice Complex in Marion County are moving forward.

Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard announced Friday that WMB Heartland Justice Partners is the preferred bidder chosen to finance, design, build and operate the complex.

The $408 million facility will be a public-private partnership built on the site of the old General Motors stamping plant. The more than 100-acre property has been vacant since 2011.
