On Tuesday, October 2nd, SOM Associate Directors Phil Obayda and Martin Liepmann spoke at the ZAK World of Facades Conference? in London. Obayda and Liepmann shared insight on facade design and engineering, exploring the innovative solutions that enable high-rise construction. Providing an overview of SOM’s designs for tall buildings around the world, the two discussed a variety of legacy and current projects, including 875 North Michigan Avenue (formerly John Hancock Center) and Manhattan Loft Gardens.
