In recognition of her work promoting sustainable design, SOM Associate Mina Hasman has been selected by the U.K. Green Building Council to join its 2018 Future Leaders program. The nine-month program serves as a forum for emerging leaders in the building industry to find solutions to pressing social and environmental challenges.
Through a series of workshops, Hasman and the other 2018 Future Leaders will research specific issues and consider how the building industry can help to solve them. Hasman’s group will focus on how to ensure homes are suited to their purpose in a landscape of major demographic and climatic change. The program will culminate in September 2018 with an evening of presentations to industry leaders.
“This is fantastic recognition for all of SOM’s work,” Hasman said, “putting sustainability at the very heart of our design approach.”
