Harrow Square Selected As a Finalist for 2021 ULI Europe Awards for Excellence

We are delighted to announce that Harrow Square was selected as a finalist for the 2021 ULI Europe Awards for Excellence. The award program recognizes outstanding urban development projects in the private, public and non-profit sectors, located in the EMEA countries. Finalists include mixed-use projects as well as office and residential from across the region including Belgium, Germany, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

SOM’s new mixed-use development Harrow Square, adjacent to Harrow on the Hill Station in outer London, provides 318 apartments, a public library, retail, and a new public square – the first new civic space to be built in Harrow in many years. The project will soon be a dynamic and highly animated space for the public to enjoy.

The judging panel, chaired by Giancarlo Scotti, Chairman of GcS&Partners and former Chair of ULI Italy, recognized superior development projects and programs-evaluating them on their relevance to the contemporary and future needs of the community in which they are located. The selected finalists have demonstrated a positive impact on their communities and/or immediate context and exhibit environmental sustainability, stewardship, and resiliency.
