SOM was named 2025 Firm of the Year by the SoCal chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), honoring our steadfast commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in the industry and our longstanding partnership.
Additionally, Associate Principal Kristin Akin-Zimmerman was named Member of the Year at the SoCal NOMA 2025 Chapter Awards ceremony for her leadership and active involvement, including organizing SOM’s annual summer internship program for NOMA student members.
We are honored to be recognized for our efforts in realizing NOMA and SOM’s shared mission to empower designers and communities of color through outreach, advocacy, professional development and design excellence, bringing meaningful change to our industry.
