SOM has been named Sustainable Architecture Firm of the Year at the Sustainability Innovation Awards 2025—a program that celebrates design excellence and environmental responsibility.

The award was accepted by members of our Dubai studio during a special ceremony recognizing our carbon neutral operations and our deep commitment to sustainable design, particularly across the Middle East.

Sultan Haitham City in Muscat, Oman, was highlighted as one of our standout projects. Designed to support an inclusive and sustainable future for Oman’s growing population, the city integrates a mix of housing types with walkable access to public amenities, green open spaces, and community-focused urban design.

The award also acknowledges our focus on sustainable workplace environments, such as the fit-out of our new Dubai studio, which showcases locally sourced materials like date palm wood, demonstrative of our regional approach to sustainability.
