In its annual Top Giants issue, Interior Design magazine ranked SOM as 16th on its list of the top 100 interiors practices in 2017. The survey ranks firms by design fees and provides analysis on market trends, project typology, and regional growth.
The publication also named the SOM-designed JTI Headquarters as the most inspiring recent project of 2017. Surrounded by parkland and built on a former industrial site, the project consolidates four existing JTI premises within a single landmark building, and demonstrates SOM’s commitment to integrated design and innovative workplace solutions.
The issue also highlights the 80th anniversary of SOM’s New York office in a roundup of significant milestones in 2017.
