Moynihan Train Hall and One Manhattan West, two SOM-designed projects along Ninth Avenue and 33rd Street in New York City, have been named finalists in this year’s Architizer A+ Awards.
Moynihan Train Hall, the monumental civic project that transformed the James A. Farley Post Office into a rail hub and extension to Penn Station, is a finalist in the ‘Transportation Infrastructure’ and the ‘Transport Interiors’ categories.
One Manhattan West, the largest and most recognizable building in the 7 million-square-foot Manhattan West Development, was recognized in the ‘Office – High Rise (16+ Floors)’ category.
Winners of the Popular Choice A+ Award in both categories will be determined by a public vote that runs between June 15 and June 25.
