On Saturday, July 16th, SOM Senior Digital Design Professionals Veronica Quintero and Jason Chen will present at the Revit Technology Conference North America. Taking place in Scottsdale, Arizona, the event brings together industry experts to share insights on using Revit and related Building Information Modeling (BIM) software applications to drive innovation in building design and construction.
The presentation, “Lost in Space (Types): Revit in Architectural Programming,” seeks to challenge the common perception that Revit is better suited for documentation in later phases, rather than serving as an early phase design and prototyping tool. Drawing upon SOM’s work, Quintero and Chen will discuss alternate methods for early design and prototyping, including nested super families and linking techniques. They will address updating multiple prototypes in multiple models, as well as real-time visualization.
