The SOM Women’s Initiative (SOMWI) invites undergraduate and graduate students to apply for its annual Shadowing Opportunity. The four-day winter program, now in its ninth year, provides experience, mentorship, and guidance to students planning to pursue careers in architecture, engineering, or related fields.
From January 7th to 10th, 2020, selected students will rotate through different departments at SOM to gain a well-rounded perspective on the firm’s work and the day-to-day experience of design professionals.
Shadowing opportunities are currently available in five of SOM’s North American offices and in SOM’s London office. Applications for the North American offices are due by 5:00 p.m. EST on Monday, November 25th, 2019; applications for the London office are due by 5:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, December 1st, 2019. Candidates will be selected by a committee based on portfolio submissions and resumes. Invitations to participate will be sent out beginning in mid-December. ?
