SOM Participates in 2020 NOMA Conference

In October, SOM designers Danei Cesario, Ellen Abraham, Tiara Hughes, and Adede Amenyah will participate in the 2020 NOMA Conference. The event will take place virtually, streamed from Oakland, California.

This year’s theme, “Spatial Shifts: Reclaiming Our Cities,” will explore the ways in which equity and justice can break down the barriers to meaningful design. Attendees will hear from design experts over the course of five days as they discuss the tools and opportunities available to the design industry to reshape communities and build a better future.

NOMA’s mission, rooted in a rich legacy of activism, is to empower local chapters and membership to foster justice and equity in communities of color through outreach, community advocacy, professional development, and design excellence. SOM is proud to support the NOMA Conference as sponsor of the Student Design Competition since 2018.
