SOM has been invited to create a pavilion for the Interni “Legacy Exhibition” as part of the FuoriSalone in conjunction with the 2012 Salone del Mobile in Milan. The pavilion is one of eight installations created by design leaders from around the world working together with Italian manufacturing giants. SOM, the only U.S.-based firm invited to participate, partnered with Carrara Marmotec, the conglomerate of marble quarries in Italy, to design a pavilion that utilizes innovative fabrication technologies to create a poetic and sculptural experience. The exhibition will be on view from April 17 – 22, 2012, in Milan.
