
Chicago Women in Architecture (CWA) and SOM’s Women’s Initiative invite you to a virtual panel featuring four women leaders across SOM’s global practice. Moderated by Rachel Oleinick, CWA Lecture Chair and Vice Principal at Northworks Architects and Planners, the panel will feature SOM’s Tanvi Parikh, Laura Cavichioli, Marina Marquez, and Nicole Wang. These four colleagues, who collaborate across studios, disciplines and areas of expertise, will discuss career highlights, challenges and pivots, and their advice for peers in the industry.
Tanvi Parikh is an Associate Director Project Manager in SOM Chicago’s studio. Tanvi has focused her career on the revitalization of cities, promoting diverse and distinct neighborhoods, sustainability, and smart growth.
Laura Cavichioli is a Residential Design Specialist Associate and Senior Designer in SOM’s Chicago studio. Laura specializes in the design of residential and mixed use developments.
Marina Marquez is an Associate Designer in SOM’s New York City studio. Marina has designed complex projects such the One Manhattan West office tower in New York City, Jarir Headquarters in Riyadh, and Catalinas Norte II in Argentina.
Nicole Wang is an Associate Structural Engineer in SOM’s San Francisco studio. As a structural engineer, she works closely with the design team to collaboratively develop integrated solutions to engineering and other design and construction challenges.
