SOM at the ULI Fall Meeting in San Francisco

The ULI Fall Meeting brings together leaders shaping the future of cities for a week of conversation, connection and insight into the forces transforming the built environment. This year, the event comes to San Francisco—home to some of SOM’s most impactful urban and architectural work. Read on to see all the ways SOM is involved this year. 

In Person 
Join Associate Principal Lisa Follman for a panel discussion, “Converting Vacant Commercial Space: Strategies for Success,” exploring approaches to adaptive reuse and office-to-residential conversions amid shifting urban dynamics. The session will examine how market conditions, regulatory frameworks, and design innovation can help transform underutilized office buildings into vibrant mixed-used destinations.

SOM’s work will be featured in several of ULI’s guided tours spotlighting the Bay Area’s evolving urban landscape—including a tour of the transformation of Treasure Island, the revitalization of Jackson Square, the Peninsula Life Sciences Tour featuring Genesis Marina, a guided walking tour through the Transbay Redevelopment Plan, and an examination of luxury residential development at 1550 Mission Street.
