JTI Headquarters Named Most Innovative Structure in 2017 Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards
The Structural Engineers Association of Illinois recognized JTI Headquarters as Most Innovative Structure in the 2017 Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards. Located in Geneva, the building demonstrates SOM’s commitment to integrated design, sustainability, and innovative workplace solutions.
The Architect's Newspaper examines the elements of workplace design that go beyond environmentalism to address user health and well-being. The WELL Building Standard® is outlined, with the SOM-designed JTI Headquarters cited as a case study for the WELL concepts of Air, Mind, and Fitness.
