The Regional Plan Association, a nonprofit civic organization focused on the New York metropolitan area, has named Moynihan Train Hall as the 2020 Project of the Year.

The project was recognized for its impact on decongesting Pennsylvania Station and creating a new gateway into New York City. SOM had a leading role in the design of the monumental civic project to convert McKim, Mead & White’s 1913 Beaux-Arts James A. Farley Post Office into a 21st-century train hall.
