On Tuesday, October 22nd, Urban Design and Planning Director Peter Kindel will speak at the 2019 FuturePlace conference. Event attendees will hear from industry leaders and explore topics that range from strategic planning and innovative research practices to takeaways from top developers, builders, and investors.
During the presentation, titled “Cities of the Future – The Promise and Possibility,” Kindel will share insights from SOM’s collaboration with National Geographic magazine on the Cities of the Future project, which addresses 10 key principles: ecology, water, energy, livability, waste, food, mobility, culture, infrastructure, and economy.
