SOM is a finalist for two prestigious awards in the Middle East. As part of the Big 5 Global Impact Awards, we have been shortlisted for the Award for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and through Construction Week Awards Middle East, we are in the running for Architecture Firm of the Year.

The Big 5 Global Impact Awards, aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, recognize exceptional achievements in sustainability, digitalization, and innovation. This shortlisting follows our award win in 2022, a pivotal milestone for our Dubai office (pictured). The recognition helped us double the size of our multicultural local team and reinforced our commitment to fostering open dialogue about equity—both within our firm and across the wider built environment we shape through our projects. Winners will be named November 25.

The Construction Week Awards honor visionaries in the construction sector. As one of the region’s most prestigious industry accolades, these awards celebrate the projects, companies, and leaders driving innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence across the Middle East’s transformative built environment. Winners will be announced on November 20. 

We are incredibly proud of these recognitions and excited to continue contributing to the region’s growth and innovation.
