Lonny Israel, SOM Associate Director of Branding, Identity, and Graphic Design, has been selected by the Society for Experiential Graphic Design to serve on the jury of its 2016 SEGD Global Design Awards. Since 1987, the awards program has honored experiential graphic design work that connects people to place by providing direction, content, and compelling user experiences in the places where they work, play, learn, travel, shop, and connect. It is the most highly regarded international design competition for experiential design in the built environment.
Israel joins eight other internationally acclaimed designers representing a wide range of disciplines—from interactive experience design to architecture and wayfinding—including Jury Chair Stephen Minning of BrandCulture, Marcia Lausen of the University of Illinois at Chicago, Paul McConnell of Intersection, and Traci Sym of Skylab Architecture.
