On Friday, September 15th, SOM’s Ingedia Sanchez will speak at the 2017 American Institute of Architects (AIA) Women’s Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. An architect based in SOM’s Chicago office, Sanchez has led the technical designs for numerous tall and supertall towers around the world, including the recently completed China World Trade Center 3B in Beijing, and the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, in Dubai. Sanchez plays an active role in SOM’s China practice, working closely with teams based in the United States and in China to realize technical designs for projects in multiple Chinese cities.
During the session at the Women’s Summit, Sanchez will share insights into her role as a designer and manager of interdisciplinary teams at SOM for more than a decade. Sanchez will be joined by Sara K. Beardsley, architect at Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture.
