
Four SOM leaders will speak at this year’s 2018 Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) Pacific Regional Conference. The conference brings together university leaders, architects, and planners for workshops and educational sessions on higher education planning. This year’s conference will be held at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from April 8th to 10th.
On April 9th, SOM Associate Jennifer Skowlund will participate in a panel titled “Developing and Initiating a Holistic Approach for Living/Learning Communities.” With speakers from the University of California, San Diego, Skowlund will discuss SOM’s recent master planning work on the campus.
Also on April 9th, SOM Design Director Javier Arizmendi and Associate Director Sean Ragasa will join a panel moderated by SOM Associate Director Georgia Sarkin. The panel is titled “Designing Elements of a Transformative Identity in Higher Education Institutions.” The three will share insight on SOM’s work at UC Hastings College of the Law and Geffen Hall at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine.
