On Tuesday, June 13th, Dmitri Jajich will speak at the London Constructing Excellence Club. Jajich, a Structural Associate Director based in SOM’s London office, has worked on a number of projects characterized by their elegantly integrated structural design, ranging in scale from the world’s tallest building to a single-story residence.
In his presentation, titled ‘”Structure as Architecture,” Jajich will focus on examples of key projects that feature structure or structural materials as the primary form of architectural expression. Jajich will discuss some of the challenges and rewards that come with helping to design these structures, in addition to outlining the unique aspects of realizing these types of projects in North America specifically, as compared to other international locations.
