
On Friday, October 11th, senior architectural designer Daniel Inocente will speak at New Scientist Live 2019, an award-winning festival in London featuring talks, activities, and experiences for science professionals as well as the general public.
In a presentation titled “Welcome to Lunarville,” Inocente will discuss Moon Village, SOM’s concept for the first permanent human settlement on the moon. In partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), SOM is master planning, designing, and engineering the settlement. In his presentation, Inocente will demonstrate the potential that the architecture, engineering, and construction industry has to advance human space exploration in a sustainable way for the benefit of humanity.
