An old strip center coincidentally named “Broward Station” was knocked down Wednesday, marking the start of construction of what will become a sleek new downtown Fort Lauderdale station for All Aboard Florida It’s the first groundbreaking for one of All Aboard Florida’s three stations planned in South Florida. Work on stations in downtown West Palm Beach and Miami is expected to begin in the coming weeks. Another station is planned at Orlando International Airport.
