SOM Director Aybars Asci will speak at a symposium focused on the global dissemination of architecture on February 25, 2015. The event, titled “Export Agendas: The Global Transfer and Translation of Architectural Expertise,” will bring together leading academics and practicing architects to discuss the ways in which U.S. architectural offices have exported architecture and practice models around the world. Asci will examine these issues through the lens of notable SOM projects abroad, including National Commercial Bank in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Al Hamra Tower in Kuwait City, Kuwait.
Organized by Northeastern University, “Export Agendas,” is a continuation of the themes developed at the U.S. Pavilion at the 2014 Venice Biennale.
