On Wednesday, April 5th, SOM Associate Director Andrew Obendorf will speak at the 2017 SPAR 3D Conference in Houston, Texas. A leading international event for the application of 3D technology, SPAR 3D includes presentations by leaders across the industry speaking on a variety of 3D-related topics, including 3D printing, visualization, and processing, and best practices for the applications of 3D technologies across disciplines.
Obendorf will discuss SOM’s work on AMIE 1.0, an energy-efficient, 3D-printed building that shares electricity wirelessly with a 3D-printed car. AMIE 1.0 was developed in collaboration with the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the University of Tennessee.
