Spotlight on Andrew Leung in Urban Design Forum

Andrew Leung

Andrew Leung, Associate Principal in our City Design Practice, was recently featured in Urban Design Forum’s Member Spotlight series, where he discusses his work designing for climate resilience at multiple scales.

“We work across many scales—from site-specific projects to district master plans to regional city strategies for energy, mobility, and resilience,” said Andrew Leung. “The goal is always to create a more sustainable and resilient future. I see it as our responsibility to find paths forward and set examples that others can build upon.”

A key part of  this effort is the New York Climate Exchange, a first-of-its kind international center for developing solutions to the climate crisis. In the feature, Leung explains how this project will create a compelling new public realm on Governors Island, a 172-acre island in the heart of New York harbor, and will soon become one of the city’s most ambitious mass timber projects.
