Whether it’s welcoming home family and friends, or tearful goodbyes as a loved one jets off into the sunset, airports have increasingly become places that celebrate travel and allow us to explore the wider world. However, just because they are stopping points for our next adventures, that doesn’t mean that airports shouldn’t be interesting, innovative works of design in themselves.

Also boasting the fact that it is one of the largest transport hubs in South East Asia, Changi Airport is often voted one of the best airports in the world. Terminal 3 in particular is seen as an incredibly unique design. Overseen by CPG Corporation, the terminal is a steel-and-glass structure which features a living Green Wall’, a butterfly garden and a spectacular roof designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM).
