ARCHITECT‘s Ashleigh Popera shares the winners of the 2017 AIA New York State Design Awards, which were announced today, with honors going to 28 projects in 10 different categories.?
Some well-known firms like Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) came home with top honors, and Peter Marino Architect received awards in multiple categories. The 10 categories were Residential, Multi Family; Institutional; Commercial/Industrial, Large; Commercial/Industrial, Small; Urban Planning/Design; Adaptive Reuse/Historic Preservation; Interiors, Unbuilt, General; and International.
