
On Tuesday, April 25th, SOM Structural and Civil Engineering Partner William F. Baker will join a panel discussion on art, architecture, and engineering at the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
The panel is part of a series titled “Conversations at the Intersection,” which aims to provide audiences with a glimpse into the creative process across an array of professional disciplines, including art, architecture, engineering, and philosophy. The panel will be moderated by Julio M. Ottino, Dean of Northwestern’s McCormick School of Engineering, and will include Baker and Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle, Professor of Art Theory and Practice at Northwestern.
Baker, a leading structural engineer, has collaborated with numerous artists, including James Carpenter, Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle, James Turrell, and Jaume Plensa.
