On Thursday, April 6th, SOM Design Partner Roger Duffy and SOM Associate Director Christoph Timm will speak at the Facades+ New York Conference, presented by The Architect’s Newspaper.
In the afternoon keynote address, titled “Facades in the Age of Collaboration,” Duffy will explore the collaboration between architects, engineers, material sources, and craftspeople that is evident in SOM’s recent facade work. Following his presentation, Duffy will participate in a Q&A moderated by William Menking, editor of The Architect’s Newspaper.
Timm will moderate a panel titled “Deep Diving into Glass: Quality Control and New Uses,” during which he and panelists will explore the process of quality control and assurance in glass, as well as new possibilities for using this material.
