On Thursday, February 9th, SOM Associate and City Design Practice Manager Jennifer Pehr will present SOM’s concept to reimagine the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway to better serve New York City’s future needs. The event takes place at the AIA New York Center for Architecture.
Crain’s New York Business asked leading architects and planners to think of designs that could help New York City accommodate its growing population, which is expected to reach 9 million people by 2040. Ten designers will share their proposals, followed by a discussion on shaping the future of the city.
