On Monday, February 6th, SOM Design Partner Scott Duncan will deliver a lecture at the College of Architecture and Design at University of Tennessee. He will explore the relationship between buildings and their ecosystems, with a focus on how SOM’s work around the world? has responded to changing needs in the built environment over the past 80 years.
The event is part of SOM’s ongoing role in the ?The Governor’s Chair for Energy and Urbanism, a joint partnership with Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the College of Architecture and Design at University of Tennessee. During the first year of the program, SOM worked with these partner organizations to realize the Additive Manufacturing Integrated Energy (AMIE 1.0) demonstration project, currently the world’s largest 3D-printed polymer enclosure and a model for off-grid living.
