SOM Design Partner Brian Lee will speak at the 2016 edition of Business of Design Week (BODW), taking place on November 28 through December 3 at the SOM-designed Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. BODW is considered the preeminent event of its kind in Asia, serving as a forum for the exchange of ideas on creative thinking and design management.? Organized annually since 2002 by the Hong Kong Design Center, BODW gathers leaders across business, design, and cultural enterprise.
With the theme “Made in Chicago,” BODW 2016 features presentations by a host of design and business leaders from the city. Lee will speak alongside thought leaders from Chicago and around the world in a plenary session titled “Culture and the City” on Saturday, December 3rd. Speakers include Jeanne Gang, Founding Principal of Studio Gang Architects; Zoë Ryan, Curator of Architecture and Design at the Art Institute of Chicago; and Sarah Herda, Director of The Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts.
