SOM and CAMESgibson will present a new collaborative project, The High Life, at the exhibition BOLD: Alternative Scenarios for Chicago. Organized by Iker Gil of MAS Studio as part of the Chicago Architecture Biennial, BOLD opens on Saturday, October 3rd at the Chicago Cultural Center. The High Life project proposes novel domestic arrangements made possible by a new residential high-rise building type that allows the broadest range of housing options in the urban tower.
BOLD showcases speculative projects and ideas for the city of Chicago by several architecture offices. Although generated without a client, the concepts operate with an awareness of the constraints and realities of Chicago, and with the intention to engage with public and private agencies to shape the future of the city.
