On October 16, SOM Associate Director Colin Koop will moderate a panel at Engineering News-Record’s Higher Education Conference. The discussion, titled “Building Private Universities: Challenges and Innovations,” will address a range of topics related to the design and construction of new education facilities — from building strong relationships with the surrounding community to how campuses can best integrate new design concepts and building technologies.
Koop will be joined by four panelists: Lynne Brown, Senior Vice President for University Relations and Public Affairs at New York University; Vincent Burke, Director of Capital Projects and Planning at Fordham University; Tom Hoban, Senior Vice President at Tishman Construction; and Joseph Mannino, Vice President of Capital Project Management at Columbia University.
Held annually, Engineering News-Record’s Higher Education Conference brings together owners, contractors, architects, engineers, and leaders from higher education institutions for panel discussions and presentations on issues affecting higher education development.
