On Tuesday, January 21st, Peter Kindel and urban designer Saki Mizuguchi will speak at SPUR Oakland’s “Imagining Future Cities” event with UC Berkeley’s Molly Turner and HDR | Calthorpe’s Peter Calthorpe. The discussion will center on the innovations and challenges raised in National Geographic‘s “Future Cities” issue, in which SOM collaborated with the magazine to design a model city for the year 2050.
Kindel, Mizuguchi, Turner, and Calthorpe will share insights on how the aspirational visions and forward-thinking ideas raised in the issue can be applied to the Bay Area in the 21st century.
