On Wednesday, November 13th, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill was co-honored alongside Trane at Urban Green Council’s 2019 Urban Green Gala. Managing Partner Kenneth A. Lewis accepted the award on behalf of SOM, which was honored for its commitment to sustainability and Urban Green Council initiatives over the years. The annual gala event for the New York City-based nonprofit took place at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers.
Urban Green Council is dedicated to transforming buildings for a sustainable future in New York City and around the world. Each year, Urban Green Gala recognizes great work in green building, and is one of the biggest industry networking events of the year.
